Returning visitors are a very valuable asset. One way to create them (or to keep the existing ones) is to periodically send them relevant information about your business. core.newsletter allows your visitors to subscribe, allows you to manage the subscribers and, of course, to send out the newsletters.

The basic newsletter system allows you to have one newsletter category and to send plain-text newsletters only. Some clients thought that’s all they need, hence the stripped down version.

There is also a more advanced system available which supports both HTML and plain-text newsletters (subscribers choose which version they’d like to receive), multiple newsletter categories, sending previews, opt-in signups, user profiles and much, much more…
