Core.web

core.search - Core.web

We’re sure you know how this one works. Visitors enter the keywords which describe what they’re looking for, and get a list of matching results. Matching results (articles, galleries, files, misc. other thingies) are displayed on screen based on their relevancy to the entered keywords. Best matches are displayed first. As a bonus, the keywords are highlighted within the listing of results, because it helps the user to find what he’s looking for more quickly.

Do you need it? It depends. Obviously, if you have a site with 7 1/2 pages, you don’t need the search facility. However, because content is king, your site will probably grow over time. When that happens, core.search seamlessly plugs into the existing site, integrating with any of the existing modules and… well, does its job and does it well.
