core.shop - Core.web

Core.shop is, you guessed it, a shopping module. It is developed with core.products in mind, but doesn’t necessarily have to be integrated with it. It consists of a common shopping basket (the basket itself has two variants, a session based basket, and a database based basket, so returning visitors can quickly continue shopping once they have the necessary funds), and an order processing mechanism. The ordering process is simple: review the cart contents, checkout, enter billing and shipping details, enter the payment information and receive confirmation of a successfully completed order (via email and a message on the site).

It can be integrated with our users module, which improves the overall shopping experience for registered users by remembering their personal information, allowing them to track their orders’ status and so on. In both cases, unregistered users are also allowed to shop, however they lack these additional features, and will have to re-enter all their details each time they decide to buy something.

Core.shop can be integrated with most (if not all) of the popular external payment gateways that specialize in credit card processing and transaction authorization.
